Practices of Public Leaders
A practice is defined as “a habitual or customary
action.” Throughout our work with public leaders,
we have observed a set of practices that allow
these leaders to guide groups and communities to
   great achievements. Successful public leaders
   develop the abilities to:

- Convene Relevant Voices

- Ask Questions that Encourage Thoughtfulness

- Facilitate Dialogue that Includes Multiple
           Points of View

- Bring Clarity to Conversations

- Promote Integrity of Actions

- Tell Stories of Progress

For any given public leader, some of these abilities are intuitive while some must be learned and mastered. Through our work, we support public leaders in developing the skills necessary to exercise these practices. Our services sometimes involve implementing specific practices on behalf of public leaders. For instance, a public leader might convene a group and call on Conocer to ask questions and bring clarity to conversations. We also provide one-on-one support to public leaders as well as group education sessions to help people hone their skills.
